WALTJA is an Aboriginal word for 'extended family'. The extended family encompasses the sum total of LifeForce-bearing entities and recognizes the responsibility we have to one another as our brothers' and sisters' keeper.  

What We Do

WALTJA Center is a Community-Access Healing Center in Troy, NY. We provide a space for classes and events, plus a private treatment room for hire. Classes are developed and provided by local and guest healing arts practitioners. 

Waltja fills a need for community - access healing space. We provide a resource for healers  and their clients in the social, mind/ body, energy and spiritual disciplines, a health reading room, with locally made and consciously sourced products, equipment, and books for healing, fasting, cleansing, learning and more.

The Waltja Center features:

• A private treatment room, equipped with massage table, heat lamps, linens;
• A beautiful classroom space for holistic practice, meetings, prayer, meditation, sharing circles, yoga, movement and more, with multi-media capabilities;
• Healing resources, products and information; 
• Easy parking and the premises are 'human conveyance' or ADA accessible;
  
• The Inn for Visiting Healers, overnight accommodations available.

SPECIAL EVENT

Waltja Center  just acquired a set of Tibetan Lama paintings on loan. They are magnificent energy generators and movers for blocked energy. We will be holding a healing meditation, free of charge to anyone who wants to sit and enjoy the energy from these paintings.

We are a member of Urban Rejuvenation Stations - holistic  healing centers.  Our location, in the heart of South Central Troy, is on the corner of 1st Street and Washington Street.
